The photos are definitely the QF PS style "Complimentary Invitations", and you don't need to be accompanied to use them.
However,
1) They are undated, but the scan of the back says, "This card is valid for a single visit by one guest before the date specified" which indicates to me that they were meant to have validity dates. Without making any allegations, I'm wondering if the entity which produces these invitations prints them in bulk without expiry dates, which are then added later as required. I'm further wondering whether access to these undated invitations is as secure as it perhaps should be.
2) The seller stated, "You do not have to be flying with Qantas to use these invitations. You can fly with any airline and proceed to the Qantas Business Class Club Lounge and present your invitation to be admitted. Most major airports have a qantas club lounges." This is incorrect - you need to be flying on a OW airline. (It is also not at all true that "most major airports" have QPs - "most major airports in Australia" would be more accurate.)

How this person got so many of them is the real question ! An ex-QP lounge dragon who stole a bundle when s/he left QF's employ ?!? (They [certainly used to anyway] have loads of them to hand at QPs, to give to pax when things went wrong, for people they decide to let in for a particular reason, etc, etc, etc. I know as I was given one at the SYD Dom. QP 3 years ago after something went wrong with a reservation, and it was given to me out of a huge stack of the things !).

Not having passed Silver recently, I am not familiar with the current "gifts". Do the current "you have reached Silver status, have a free lounge visit on us" vouchers/cards have an expiry date? It would appear that these ones do not.
And do they state that the card remains the property to Qantas Airways? If so, it would not be right to sell something that is the property of someone else.

There is no "property of qantas" anywhere on the card.
On the reverse is just says We Invite you to be out guest....
This card is valid for a single visit by one guest before the date specified...
And info on how to enrol at qantas club.
Thats the lot really.

I can't see anything wrong with selling passes legitimately obtained, but I have to wonder how this seller got so many of them and why they don't have dates. Other comments here make me think that there may be several variants on different sorts of stock, some dated, some undated.

But I would agree that it's worse to be selling stolen passes, which is what I strongly suspect this seller's wares to be.

This card is valid for a single visit by one guest before the date specified. Please present this card upon arrival at the lounge.
Valid until end January 2007
Then again, maybe one could write an appropriate expiry date in. (but not in crayon)

One of those little rotating rubber wheel daters costs just a few dollars.
The seller would IMHO be smarter to offer them 'valid' for a year or 2 years etc.
Lounge matrons seeing anything with a date would probably accept they were kosher. Human nature being what it is, they'd look more "official" with a hand dater than if handwritten.
I imagine these kind of invites are on hand in a drawer at many QP and sales offices worldwide, so even if it does not look exactly like the ones mailed out with elite kits, no-one would risk a scene by querying it at desk.
