Kiwi Flyer, not wanting to hijack your topic, but I thought it would be easier to post the link to the article here, rather than having to hop across two topics to get to it.
Thank you for posting it - I hadn't seen it and I have been loyal to them over the past 4 years (with over $90K of OW bookings as well as ~75 stays/125 nights in hotel bookings).
Just looks like they brought it out at the wrong time for me. My TA just went on maternity leave last week and I don't have any contacts there any more.
Anybody have a good TA who wants the dream client (I even book the hotel nights direct or through web and put the TA TIDS reference in booking, so easiest commission for them...)

Not quite as bad as Fly Buys, and ANYTHING extra these days is not to be sneered at.
Most leisure folks spending $12,500 will take a while, (eternity in some cases) and to get a $100 voucher after that.....
I am amazed Discover Card has not been launched here. With pretty crappy card FF award deals it would grow nicely now.

Draw for 3,000,000 only open to Australians

RP itself seems to be open to NZers though
Flight Centre reserves the right to:
refuse membership to a person who resides in a particular country or region;
restrict the membership of bodies corporate and/ or set a different Earn Rate or Redemption Rate for corporate members at its absolute discretion; and
cancel Loyalty Points or refuse redemption of Loyalty Points, if it determines, in its absolute discretion, that the earning of the Loyalty Points or their redemption is an abuse of the Loyalty Program.

Yup, I got the card too and all that, and it was nice, but I dunno. The big problem I have with fright centre, is that whenever I find a good agent, they get promoted or move out of the office six months later, so I have to go through the "training" all over again!
Actually, I think I freak half of them out when I walk in saying: "I want these flights, in this booking class, on this fare THANK YOU" - since I'm not Joe slob who just wants to go to Disneyland or book a contiki, they get spooked. I've had more than one agent tell me that they've learned stuff about me since I actually read and follow the rules - so it's like "You can't transit ORD 3 times..." Uh, yes I can, note the "3 transits rule there.." "Oh.. I didn't know you could do that" etc etc. Of course half of them also think i'm loony wanting to book convoluted routings and specific aircraft and carriers etc. Although I did have more than one admit to me that they love it when I walk through the door since I do all the work for them (hmm). and I know what I want, rather than just some vaugue feeling that "I wanna go..." LOL.
I've found them, in general though, to be fairly good in terms of matching online prices, though I have found a better mob who are more generous in terms of the CC surcharge (trailfinders only charge a CC surcharge if you split your payment).
Still, I may just use their website or whatever to book domestics since the prices are all the same, why not?
