Easiest way not to let Qantas Miles expire?

Hi all,

My 50k miles are set to expire July 31st...
What's the easiest way to make sure they don't, considering I have no possibility of flying Qantas before then?

If I understand correctly, the points have to post before that date, so that excludes a few options...

Thanks!

You're in Paris? Do a quick flight on a European oneworld member and credit to QF.

I should have been more specific: I can't credit any flight at all in this period of time.
I'm looking for alternative solutions, like earning miles for purchase, etc...
Just afraid it wont post in time...

If you were in Aus, it would be easy. Just get an EDR card and spend $31 at woolworths...

Try http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/partners/car or http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/partners/toolbar

Spending points will also extend their expiry date by 18 months.

Simply order a new membership card at a cost of 1,000 points and you'll be fine for another 18 months.

When you say it didn't work for you, could you elaborate? Did it fail to install, or did it install and say you had earned points but the points didn't show up, or something else?

How long does it take for a hotel stay to appear? I'm staying in the Hilton Warsaw on 27 September 2014 (Saturday night, unfortunately) and my points expire 30 September 2014. If I pick Points and Miles for my Hilton earning option, with QF set as my preferred program, will the miles post in time to prevent expiration?

Points can take up to eight weeks after your stay to be credited to your account.

Yikes, thanks.

I guess I'll keep looking for a way to spend my 13k points now then.

Can someone confirm that transferring Marriott points or Amex MR points to my account will reset the expiry date? (I want to be sure as it certainly doesn’t work with Flying Blue!)

Install the Qantas Wellbeing app and link it to your account.

You can use any phone (iOS, Android) that can track the steps count, no need to wearable activity tracker.

With any goal completed (e.g. daily steps or sleep time) it will post the points weekly, That should be enough to reset the Qantas account activity.
