Would love to hear all your stories on positioning flights to MNL. There's actually quite a few options from Europe, in business class for sub 1300 EUR but adding the cost of that + the TK fare itself makes for a big lumpsum. This however doesn't change the fact that this is an awesome deal!
Usually just a roundtrip to USA (using Lifemiles) costs me around $2400. So this is a heck of a deal, especially when you get back some $350 in earned miles.

The dates I booked are no longer available, however this is how I found it.
I found MNL-IST to be not available on a couple of Fri. So avoid Fri.
Then the easiest was to search for IAH/MIA as the destination. Find the dates that are available at this fare.
Switch the return from IAH/MIA to SFO/LAX. Even if Google flight does not show the price, just go to TK website, and play around with the return segment dates.

I found the SFO route but hesitated when I saw the positioning flight to MNL from AMS was too pricey. And now it's really dry - can't find anything under 1800 USD. It's a really long trip but such a cool route.

Credit to TK Miles and Smiles and you'll get a ton of miles, then if you have a Citi TYP card then just transfer over a relatively small amount of miles and you'll have enough for a lot of longer business class (saver of course) award flights.

I can't find the TK fare anyway so all the wondering and thinking cost me the trip.

The fare is still there, I recommend using google flights for fast availability search.
