I am just confused why AF don't sign up this deal with their Skyteam partner Garuda instead of SQ

Garuda doesn't fly to AKL, and only every second day or so to SYD and MEL. Plus, it seems there are no non-stop flights between Jakarta and Paris!...

I mean I managed to push them all into QF/EK for under $3100 but I want it to be better...
