I am still seeing OGG available for my travel dates in late May but other locations (KOA and HNL) appear gone so maybe being pulled as we speak.

Might be because it's a UA fare. Do not discount how much this has cost them.

But I get that this is really not the point of this forum, so my apologies.

The UA fare has been around for a year or so

I'm sure it will be there next year as well assuming United doesn't change their business model.

Yikes, was thinking about this one a little too long. Hopped on an OGG flight. It's still alive in AA Vacations, but seems like barely.

There may be some confusion here. The op of this thread was only ex-ATL on American to the HA islands. The Canadian origins were added to the title later by the mods. I think some posters are asking about UA and DL fares ex ATL...

AA: ATL-OGG/KOA for around ~$1250 still looks available.

Not a surprise. Looking at my seat maps in J from DFW-HNL-DFW they're completely booked.

I'm seeing YYZ-HNL with connection through ORD (777 lie flat?) on UA for $1063 usd in late April/early May. Google flights says it's a lie-flat, but seat guru shows the old configuation...

- edit - United's website for seat selection shows it's the "V5" layout with 4 rows of forward/rearward layout lie flats.

ex:

UA is in the process of reconfiguring the Hawaii sub-fleet into the V5 you reference. I'm not sure if they are done but I think they are most of the way there, Seat Guru is just out of date (as sadly happens more often than not these days)

For seat information see this thread from the UA forum: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unit...102e-234e.html

ATL is gone, but AA is attacking other DL hubs. Sub $1200 fare is available from MSP and SLC.

Nice catch, thanks! Too bad they've left DTW out (for now).

Just booked MSP-DFW-HNL-DFW-MSP for Thanksgiving week, had to pay a bit more than the cheapest fares on other days ($1,479), but they are also refundable which is a huge plus for us. On days with the cheap fares I also checked I could make them refundable for like $30 extra, which is a great deal (they book into D instead of I on the days I looked at).

I was able to get a convenient fall trip to Maui for the family using the ex-MSP fare and help some in-laws book an open-jaw into Maui with us and back from HNL a few days later (all routing through DFW for the lie-flat seat...though, as I learned last year flying DFW-HNL-DFW on AA, they swap-out that aircraft a lot - we were downgraded to an older, angled-flat both ways at the airport).

However, I don't see the fare bookable any longer? Am I missing it or is it still there just not nearly as widely available?
