Thanks OP.

I can get it to price at $1800 on BA. But the AARP site is buggy today. I would want to do before end of Jan in order to get the 25k TATL bonus on this price.

That's not how it's worked for me. Last week I was searching for flights over US Thanksgiving (<150 days out) and the AARP discount was working (and stackable with card discount).

Today it's just not logging in properly.

The fare can have a 150 day advance purchase rule even when AARP is indifferent about advance purchase rules.

Ok, the fare is the deciding factor on the price...I misread that comment thinking it meant that AARP required 150 advanced purchase.

Either way...AARP site is not working right now.

As an aside, I noticed JFK-LIS is pricing out at just under $1500 on BA CW, using the 10% discount code over Christmas (e.g. I'm looking Dec. 19-26). Might be better for some, plus qualifies for the TATL bonus point promotion. Flights on IB or AA metal USD$1600.

You can also fly BA's 787 via PHL.

BA biz on the 787 is like a refugee camp, go read the b*fest on seatguru.

The airlines have unfortunately made the Dreamliner unflyable, except a couple who kept an all aisle biz seating, like AA or AC.

While it's a good price, without AARP, I can't bring myself to use this deal.

CLT-LIS is now up to $1834. Not bad at all, but not the jaw-dropping price from a few days ago.

CLT-DUB is pricing out about the same as well ($1860 or so).

Still no match from *A or ST.

for anyone who's very tempted but was awaiting AARP... I've heard from AARP (unrealiably) that you can phone in for the discount and that it's still valid. Perhaps they are just gaming. Anyway, I love flyertalk and figured i would share here rather than blog. Hope this helps someone!

Phone in where? AARP or BA? I called BA once, got bounced around 4 times and no one had a clue what AARP was, let alone the discount.
