I'm seeing the "We regret that the special discount offer is currently unavailable." error message right away after I log in through AARP.

Did you make sure at least one flight in your itinerary is BA operated or BA marketed? I don't have AARP so I can't check myself...

you get the error immediately after logging in through AARP its at the top of the flight search page. You don't have the chance to enter any flight criteria. Could BA have pulled the offer without notification?

You can always cross-post this question to the ba.com bug thread and hope the BA.com rep sees it, he's usually quite quick to respond.

150 day advanced purchase, that's the issue with the AARP discount. Should be valid with AARP, but it's a tiny window, departure has to be more than 150 days out but not beyond the AARP expiration date in mid-March 2016.

Given that the original deal is for 1500 USD, I don't think those fares are quite the same...

Normally I would say you are right, but you don't even get the option of putting any dates in. So it isn't working with any fare not just this one.

While some of the fares mentioned are more expensive, they are actually attractive for Spring/Summer Business fares USA-->Europe. Are they the lowest we have seen (or will see)? Nope, but they do represent value to many.

I hope the recent pricing changes will result in something more interesting...

They are not quite the same, but still better than the $3000+ it usually costs for a TATL flight in J.

A great find as always, OP. Thanks for sharing.

Between all of the ex-CA fares, the flash sale from a couple of weeks ago and the Thanksgiving fares, I'm pretty booked up on international travel for the next year, so I can't even take advantage.

Just like the newly released Thanksgiving fares, it's unusual though that AA put the lowest fare out there from a solid AA hub. Usually these deep discounts are attacks aimed at competitors' hubs. Wonder what's going on with this.
