Yea -- I do have to admit that we are a pretty tough crowd. I should add that I sincerely appreciate the diverse set of views and opinions we see here.

Now I'm a consultant and i love my job.
If you don't like your job, get another one. If you can't get another one, try to get some skills through classes in the community college or something to make yourself more marketable.

Boy, some diversity.
Yet for all the complaining (and what not) I see precious little action. I have seen some people with the courage of their convictions take some stands but most of what I've seen here is people venting and talking about how crappy things are. At best it's the old "fire off a letter to someone" theory of affecting change that seems to be most prevalent here, which fails to impress.

Do you have any other suggestions as to what passengers can do about the TSA?

The "just because I don't see it you're not doing it" argument. You think because it's not on CNN, people aren't doing anything? If people cause a riot, you'd say they were idiots for not staying within proper channel. People might be pissed off, but we're not law breakers either.
A lot of people here are doing things. They might not be flashy, but it's within the framework we have to try to get stuff get done.
Just what would you suggest, o paragon of protest?

The link was here on FT awhile back. Unfortunately, it was really hard to find on Cafepress's site, and it doesn't show me what I ordered previously other than a custom t-shirt.
Underneath his pic is says: "The bill of rights still applies at airport checkpoints despite TSA's assertion to the contrary."
On the back it has one of those WW2 style propaganda posters on the back that says:
Take the Homeland Pledge!
1. I promise never to bring up rights.
2. I promise to never question authority.
*Brought to you by the Ministry of Homeland Security.
Always a conversation piece at the airport.

Convenience doesn't negate principle. If one only has principles when it's easy and convenient for them then I don't really think they're principles. Some people have taken these stands. Most, unless they're keeping them secret, have not.
If the principle is so strong (and anyone who states the TSA is made up of traitors/headed by, etc. obviously feels strongly about it) then why don't their actions match their words?
Thought is not action. Go do something about it, commensurate with what one believes the problem is. B!tching on a forum ain't it.

What I see are people who encourage friends and coworkers to think about the reality of airport security.
People who write letters to their representatives and the media.
People who vote.
and, a few, who engage in civil disobidience. ^
The venting is just for fun, with perhaps a smidge of tough love for the "it's for the children" crowd.
I don't expect to see much of a change until after '08.

Not perfect, but it's there.
