What, you're looking for cheer leaders? There's a few here. Folks like you add to the perspective.

Not perfect, but it's there.

Yet for all the complaining (and what not) I see precious little action. I have seen some people with the courage of their convictions take some stands but most of what I've seen here is people venting and talking about how crappy things are. At best it's the old "fire off a letter to someone" theory of affecting change that seems to be most prevalent here, which fails to impress.


The "just because I don't see it you're not doing it" argument. You think because it's not on CNN, people aren't doing anything? If people cause a riot, you'd say they were idiots for not staying within proper channel. People might be pissed off, but we're not law breakers either.

A lot of people here are doing things. They might not be flashy, but it's within the framework we have to try to get stuff get done.

Just what would you suggest, o paragon of protest?
