Two last names help!

Now this has never happened to me, because this is the first time I don't book a plane ticket for myself.
A friend of mine booked a ticket for me, being from Mexico two last names apear on the passport, however on the ticket the two last names appear together

The passport reads Last Name: Smith Jones First Name: Daniel, but the ticket reads: Last name: Smithjones First Name: Daniel

Am I bound to get in trouble when checking in/ with the TSA?

The ticket is still within the 24H cancellation window, what should I do?

We sometimes see that on tickets with a hyphenated name. Some airlines can't cope with a hyphen or a space . . . Has not been a problem.

TSA won't give a damn even if they were capable of reading.

CBP on the other hand, will screw it up from start to finish. But then, they'll do that anyway with anything more complicated than "Smith".

I have on multiple occasions flown with a boarding pass which could not accomodate the "Junior" in my legal name, and so labeled me as "LASTNAMEJR FIRSTNAME".

Never had a problem with it. Would assume that a multiple-last-name situation is the same (and is likely so common as not to arouse comment).

I have a hyphenated last name. On some airlines it has the hyphen, sometimes just a space, sometimes it's one long last name. I've never run into an issue with TSA, CBP or immigration in other countries.

I have had problems with TSA at IAH when the length of my hyphenated family name caused an airline to truncate my forename on the BP -- I've been sent back to the airline desk to have an agent write my full name on the BP and rubber stamp it. Now I check before joining the 'security' queue.

(Apparently FTANGFTANGOLEBISCUITBARREL/T leaves too much room for doubt, whereas SMITH/JANET is fine...)

I have never had a problem with this. As stated above, the airline computer will remove all non-alpha characters such as hyphens or spaces and will compress everything together. Ms Sandra Smith-Jones becomes SMITHJONES/SANDRA/MS or something similar. I wouldn't worry about it.

No problem whatsoever. Ancient airline systems will splice names together like that and as long as the words match, the spaces are irrelevant.

My wife's first and middle names are hyphenated together (she is Asian); no problem with boarding passses, TSA, or CBP.
