I booked a ticket online, but there is a slight error in the name...
my middle name was repeated twice, but all other details are correct
for example (these aren't my real names)
actual name: Paul John Smith
name on e-ticket: Paul John John Smith
Do you think this will affect my journey? I'm interchanging... so if there is going to be a problem, I'll have 4 to deal with

While I have absolutely no proof of this, I doubt very much that you will have a problem especially since the same middle name is repeated.

As for TSA problem, one can never predict what it's "representatives" will do, seeing how they sometimes have problems when your name is spelled correctly and the same as your ID. But I concur with others here...likely you'll have no problem.
And if you're asked, you could feign puzzlement and say, "repeated middle name? perhaps your glasses are in error?"

If your first middle middle and last names were all the same (e.g. Abdullah) or you just used a single name (as is common in some parts of the world), then that may be a different thing.
The TSA has more issues with all names being the same (or only one name) than names being repeated but having a variety of names within a full name.
