A little humor for a monday......
From the Sunday SF Chronicle 6/19/11

The lube on the other hand, if in an amount greater than 3.4 ounces, can bring down an airplane.
Sorry, but this just cracks me up as they can miss a chef carrying knives but they are trained to spot a vibrator
And then there's this as well....
I wonder if airlines will start charging a premium to sit in the B&D section

The Transportation Safety Administration, whose job it is to consider fully such matters, has decreed that vibrators are OK.
TSA spokesman Nico Melendez said passengers could save time with a little common sense. Inspectors are doing their job. They are trained professionals and they know a vibrator when they see one. They will not confiscate a vibrator. But they are trained to pay attention to electronic devices.

And then there's this as well....
The TSA says whips, chains, leashes, restraints and manacles are OK, too. Any law-abiding citizen has the right to carry any such device onto an airplane.

This is surprisingly good journalism from the Chronicle (seriously), on an issue affecting the lives of everyday San Franciscans. Gawd, I love this city.

Journalism at it's finest, they rehash the exact same story every few years just before Gay Pride.

The Transportation Security Administration loves lube. Loves it. They collect it. And then they have parties. Your vibrator? Not so much.
If you're one of the 500,000 (half a million!) people traveling to San Francisco for this year's Pride Parade, before you pack your one suitcase of sweaters and hot pants (you'll need both) and your five suitcases of sex toys, think about the TSA for a minute. (Ugh, not like that.) Sure, uniforms are hot, and some of you may have those nonconsensual cavity-search fantasies rarin' to go, but save your fetishes for Pink Saturday and pack your sex toys with care.

and I know I'm splitting hairs <pun intended and ducking> but what's the difference between a vibrating "anatomically correct reproduction of a male sex object" and a vibrator? <ducking redux>

A dildo is a 'penis-shaped object' and need not vibrate, indeed under many definitions, dildos do not vibrate.
A number of years back my wife's friend, an Indonesian ladyboy (truly) asked me to buy him a vibrator from the UK. I brought it through to Indonesia no problem.
What I did not realise at the time is that such toys are actually illegal in many countries. And indeed in Alabama (you can possess but not sell). So be careful where you bring your toy. Euphemistically named 'massagers' such as the Hitachi Magic Wand (rather large and heavy for travel however) are ideal for this purpose as they are sold as medical devices.

The other AA sells (or used to sell) it as a home product.
