NoS - Will old surgery scars trigger "pat down"?

"Register" by who or what? If ATR, then the machine is doing the "registering".

If AIT, esp backscatter, the TSA agent looking at your naked image is doing the "registering". What do you think he's looking at? Of course they render scars, as well as belly buttons and genitals and anything else you've got under your kimono. That much is clear from the low res images that have been released.

There is a reason the actual high res images and zooms have never been released. Think about it. If TSA thought that this would help their cause, do you think for a minute they would refrain from publishing a sample image?

I think the sledge hammer sized clue is the requirement that TSA places on removing everything from pockets even scraps of paper. If the Strip Search Machine can image a scrap of paper then I see no reason some scars won't show up.

agree. They can tell whether you were eligible for a bar mitzvah or not based on what they can see of your family heirlooms. They could probably tell you who your doctor was.

I have 9% of my body scarred and skin and muscle grafts, my legs are quite irregular, at least I wont be able to feel the pat down when I opt out
