Ya know I just had a thought...when you raise your arms in the scanner, not only are you allowing yourself to be strip searched, theres a subliminal messege being injected here.
When a criminal, is told to stop, and (complies) he is ordered to riase his arms Place his hands on his head... this allows the Officer to better disarm the subject, as well do a more thorough search... But what it also does, is further removes the personal sense of security in a very interesting way. As a criminal, is disarmed using the SAME methods.
So, for all those sheeple out there who are saying 'anything for security' the design of this, is making you, an innocent person, more comfortable with being forced to submit to a perceived sense of authority. Wether the authority exists or not doesnt matter. The idea that you are required to not only be strip searched and groped, you are also being told to surrender. And are therefore being ultimately charged with a crime.
Which would explain WHY you are questioned by police if you refuse. Why you are detained. Why you could be arrested, and why they want your contact information.
Because as soon as you enter that check point, you are charged with a crime. And people who are charged with crimes, undergo mandatory searches and siezures, must answer questions, and give up their identification.
But, if you comply, and prove to them, that you are infact innocent the charges are dropped. If you refuse to comply, they use the 'charged with a crime' approach.
SO while it may not be illegal to opt out completely of everything, doesnt change the fact that you still have been charged with a crime, its just they didnt bother to tell you.

Pistole himself said it: "Submit or don't fly." His choice of words tells you very clearly what he thinks of all of us.
