There was a first hand account from somebody going through the scanners that hit the media earlier in the year

http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/02...r-to-the-test/

and other places.

This was before the enhanced procedures though.

Thanks. I have read this one before.

But that is the only one.
Just wondering if anyone ,who has an implant, been forced into a scanner and enhanced patdown.

tanja,

If you're asking for input from Flyertalkers then you're best bets are to: 1) use the Search this Forum feature at the top level of the TS/S forum or 2) use the Search this Thread feature in the Nude-O-Scope Opt Out Stories [merged] discussion. I'd suggest searching first on the more general term implant (singular) than the phrase breast implants. With the former tool you have the option of viewing results by thread or by post. By post is probably less frustrating as you don't have to scroll through whole discussions to find what you're looking for.

Or for those not familiar with the FT search to go google, type flyertalk: and the search word.

flyertalk: implant returns this list
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=...ed=0CBsQrQIwAA

The imaging doesn't really penetrate through the skin, so it most likely won't see a breast implant. It would, however, be able to see a knife concealed under a bra.

I suppose that would depend on how much, er, uh, ......body material, yeah that works, is between the scanner and the knife. Now, the WTMD on the other hand.......Ding! Please step this way please.

You sure about that? Where did you go to school to become a radiology technologist or medical school to become a doctor and radiologist? State medical license numbers would be nice

Then what about this picture on the main page of http://www.nudeoscope.com/ or http://dontscan.me/scans.html. You can see the tibia and fibula as well as the tarsals and metatarsals in the foot. You can also tell which testicle is hanging lower then the other, and that is a down-scaled image from the original source

That image is several years old so the newer generation have more resolution and use a higher energy dose (IE more radiation)

I don't know if the other poster is sure about it, but I am. And the image you link to, well, what we see isn't nearly as "crisp". No genitalia is seen. Your assumptions about resolution is incorrect.

well considering your employer has yet to provide real samples, I question just about anything you have to say about the output of these devices. TSA not presenting samples says alot and that Nico is lying out his kester that these images are "family friendly" and "Readers Digest Cover material". Beyond that were all still waiting for the images of his family.

As for the resolution this has been posted before Here. I'm very familiar with digital imaging and capture as well as editing. I have worked around images enough to be able to tell whats been done to a image like the ones referenced in that post.

Then if i think things arent right i simply send them to a a friend who i went to school with who does forensic image analysis and can peep beyond the pixels to get all sorts of information about a image to see if it has been altered, scaled as well as faked. The analysis reports they do are used in court cases, insurance investigations

It's one thing to talk about institutional dishonesty, but entirely something else when somebody says "I saw X" and gets a response of "I don't believe you saw X". That's the same thing as calling a specific individual a liar and I have problems with that. Disputing somebody's interpretation of things or in cases where there might be subtle things mis-remembered is one thing, this is something different.
