Yes, it's rather likely. I doubt a regular TSA clerk - and let's be honest, on average they aren't exactly bright - would have the dedication or interest to continuously defend the TSA online. Let's also keep in mind that these are low-paying, entry-level jobs. If he's really a TSO, you're arguing with someone who's most likely not educated enough to participate in a constructive manner on these kinds of discussions.

Or, more likely, you're arguing with the TSA's PR department. Either way, it's a waste of time.

2. The stand that there has been no repeated events like 9-11 speaks for itself.

It's very sad (and very telling) that you believe that there have been no more 9/11 events because of some major achievement of the TSA and/or the bulk of its procedures. Anyone could have banned boxcutters, but only a disturbed mind would think that the wholesale patting of crotches and breasts, nonsensical restrictions on liquids, shoe removal, and yelling have successfully eliminated any sort of threat.

Isn't one of them a self-proclaimed "security expert", master spy, and trained assassin? (Okay, maybe I made the last two up.)

Oh, I do not know. I have been in a few discussions with TSORon and he fits the requirements pretty good.

That's circular logic. Maybe those countries haven't been the subject of a "shoe bomb" attack or had "commercial aircraft used as weapons of mass destruction" because their security is not "TSA style airport security." Their security could may have stopped such attacks.

Stop trying to use logic to deal with Ron ... he's too wrapped up in the TSA Kool Aid to realize that his answers are illogical, almost idiotic non sequiturs.

I'm sure he thinks he is. Imagination and reality don't always match :)

That's not true in all jurisdictions. When I was last in Mississippi 15 years ago anyone could swear out a felony complaint. No police involved. But from there, of course, the case would be off to the prosecutor. Also, something a lot of people don't know about, but if you can find a state grand jury foreman and get him interested enough - the sky's the limit. They're called runaway grand juries.
