Just because someone wants to harass the TSO, I don't think it's a reason to smell like the third day of a 4-day science fiction convention...it's not fair to the rest of the pax in line.

Give someone else (military, government contractor, etc) a much higher clearance level and they aren't allowed the same privileges at the airport.
I don't believe there's something unique or different about the background check that a TSO gets that is specifically oriented towards ensuring that he/she is a died-in-the-wool trustworthy patriot.
I do know when we had clearances at work, they were regularly reviewed and 'updated' as necessary. Rare, but once in a while, someone's clearance didn't pass and was rescinded. (In one instance, we suspected the guy's bad divorce and subsequent heavy gambling and financial woes may have been the reason).
Do TSO clearances get routinely reviewed?

One screener posted here not too long ago that a byproduct of the TSA sharing "Secret" intelligence reports was that quite a few were found to have skeletons in their closets after the much more detailed background checks were completed. So yes, more Bad Apples have been shown the door.

Be surprised at what kind of view you can get with a security camera. At my old office, you could zoom in on a computer screen about 50 feet away and read a word document at 12pt. Of course, those cameras ran about $2200 a piece!

Funny thing about those complaint cards. They could also be used for compliments - if they could be found.
I transited a checkpoint Sunday AM. The TSO on the other side of the belt who was rearranging everything said 'thank you' to me because my kippie bag was out and sitting on top of my rollaboard. I said, 'Thanks for not barking. I'd put in a compliment card, but I don't see any around and I don't have time to wait for a supervisor to get me one. Maybe next time'.
It's true - I did appreciate not being barked at, and there were no compliment cards anywhere to be seen. He said he could get a supervisor down 'really quick', but I said I had to catch my flight, couldn't wait (also true).
Besides, I know the supervisor will insist on seeing my ID before giving me a form. Are they readily available at your checkpoint, eyecue?

IF that happens, they will not get screened. I have seen that happen.
This is juvenile, but I found it really funny when someone ripped one in a courtroom just as the plaintiff's attorney had asked a question to witness for defendent. The perp was never located, but I noticed that the witness was doing all he could to avoid losing it on the stand.
I wonder how long it will be before folks start going through the checkpoint after about 3 days without shower or deoderant...

2. IF only you knew?
No wait those are FT slogans. I can tell they dont hang out here. I have only met one FT'er, he had a big yellow tag on his roller bag that says "Flyertalk."
I spoke to him briefly but he did not hang out in this topic.

They had background checks, were given shiny badges to wear and everything.
