7500 Starpoints for Switch

I got an offer in the mail to switch to ATT for 7500 Starwood points, and 1 point/$.

You can take advantage of this by calling (800)383-6146, ext. 83701

Hmm. I'd be interested in a switch to get Starpoints but 7500 and 1pt/$1 is low. I've got a couple of months left on my 25K MCI deal, plus 7pts/$1 (5 standard, 2 for billing my ClickCiti). Hope ATT and Star come up with a better offer.

Tute84, I wouldn't switch if I were you. ATT has been extremely bad about crediting Starwood points. I and several others switched for 5000 pts last October and only got them after complaining to SFG. Calling ATT customer service was useless.

I have no intention of switching - I threw out the letter.

Unlike others on this board, I have had nothing but positive experiences with MCI.

I just did the switchover. AT&T rep claimed I should see the points post within 7-10 days. We'll see.

7-10 days? Or 7-10 years?

It's not a question of never having a problem with MCI... it's a question of what they do when you DO have a problem. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Update on this offer: according to the AT&T rep I spoke to today, the offer is for 2500 Starpoints after each of your first, third, and sixth invoices.

Also, apparently they open a new Starwood Preferred Guest account for you to deposit the points into.

I'm assuming I can get Starwood to combine the points into my existing account. Has anyone ever run into this type of promotion before, and if so were you able to combine accounts?

Does anyone have the promo code for this offer?

I posted this same question in the Starwood thread.

Thank you.

Does anyone know if this is still a valid promotion. I have called AT&T and they don't even know who Starwoods is, which is a scary thought! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

They knew who Starwoods is for me, and when I went to sign up they did not want my Starwoods number. How would I ever get credit? Hmmmm.

I am 5 months into the AT&T switch for 7500 points offer. 2 calls to AT&T Customer Service plus calls to Starwood and still no points. I guess there is a reason why AT&T's stock price is in the dumper.

Ditto. I switched end of July, but I guess AT&T requires you to stick with them for 180 days before any point posting happens. I signed up for the 5,000 Starwood points though (not 7500).

So I guess I need to wait for...5 more months?? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thx

I called AT&T this AM and they said the ext is still valid so I signed up and will see what happens. They said it is 2,500 starpoints per month for the next 3 months after 90 days after the first invoice.
