Thanks a lot B747-437B, much appreciated precisions ^
Despite the fact we'll have to wait to see the Crane tail carrying the flag in other nations.

However, the (official?) website has changed very recently (= read), no more useless countdown with clouds in the background :

https://ugandaairlines.com

Looks like they'll be ready soon...

That's actually a fake website. The real one hasn't launched yet.

Apparently Uganda Airlines has approval from Somalia CAA to begin flights to MGQ.

Question for B747-437B, do they need any other international authorization to fly between the two countries? Maybe just Kenya?

That is the tricky one. Kenya is normally not permitting overflight for foreign registered aircraft to use Kenyan airspace for flights to/from Mogadishu. They still require them to do a security stop in Wajir. The alternative is a 20 minute longer detour via Ethiopia and South Sudan airspace instead.

Thanks for the link,
Interesting to read in some Ugandan media that obtaining the AOC, means automatically starting flights the same day/week...

Et voila. "Minister Azuba says the two aircrafts at Entebbe are flying but not commercially. "These are being used for tests and other training like evacuations"

Then he went on to say that commercial operations will begin July 28th. My guess is that commercial operations means putting up a website.

After some search on facebook, I found their actual booking link.
https://book-ugandairlines.crane.aer...ezvEntry.xhtml

The default booking shows One way as the selection. Business class also available!
It doesn't appear to be there on the UgandaAirlines website though, only hotel and tour booking visible there.

I'm trying to check fares from Bujumbura to Nairobi and Juba to Nairobi but the website doesn't allow yet connecting flights!
Will see if UR routings can be booked through OTA soon.

It seems the maiden flights to NBO and JUB went well. Hope they can keep up the success.

8 pax onboard to NBO yesterday morning, as read on twitter.
Hope they will improve that! In one way, the EBB-NBO route sees 4 or 5 carriers now right?
