I plan on using my Shangri-La points for a Dining award at the Shangri-La Abu Dhabi next month. If anyone could confirm:

*I must collect the dining voucher from the Business Centre on the day it is being used?
*It covers all local taxes, tips etc and no value is returned (change given)?
*$200 is the maximum per table
*An advanced reservation must be held? (Should the fact I am paying with a dining voucher be mentioned?)

I would be looking to collect around 10pm in the evening for a late Dinner, as far as I can tell this particular properties Business Ctr is open 24hours, would you imagine the collection time be an issue?

Many thanks

The 200$ limitation was removed in April.

I checked out April 25th and it hadn't been removed.
Can you cite a published source?

I would suggest visitng the business center earlier than later when possible just to be safe.

I got it in written in mail from CS. And its not in the t&c anymore either.

Print them, if some waiter insists on old terms.

Excellent, and I assume several vouchers can be used also?

What's the experience of picking it up from the Business Ctr? Is it a speedy process?

3 - 4 min process.

They type in the voucher code by hand, and then print it out, stamp it and it is yours to use.

Note you have to use it the same day once printed.

If the business centre is closed or the hotel does not have one like in Paris then just ask the front desk

If 100$ is the biggest voucher, its safe to say you can use several.

Excellent, I'll have nothing to fear about collecting it later in the evening then.

What about the 'must have a reservation' rule, is that strictly enforced? Could this voucher be used solely towards drinks in a participating hotel bar?

Dining certs not yet available for Shangri-la London. Anyone have an idea how long a hotel must be open until they show up on the website?

The advice I received from the property at which I am redeeming is that I also bring my golden circle card along at collection (no mention if ID). I do not have a physical GC card and one of the vouchers I'll be collecting is as nomination from a member, so I assumed the rule doesn't apply there??

I used my 1000 points from the game for a food and beverage voucher at Shangri-La Tokyo. The voucher covered quite nicely our Teppanyaki lunch at the Nadaman on 29th floor. Woww, what a place! I wish I had pushed my girlfriend harder to play the game to get another voucher.
