I feel sure there were about 14,000 there yesterday. Could it be the TSA? I typed some things about Air Marshalls they might not have liked?

May I remind everyone to PLEASE stay on topic?
The topic is (as posted by wearetoogood.com) whether you are age 30 and/or under and would like to meet up with him for a night at restaurants and bars that cater exclusively to a 30 and/or under crowd (or as they would say in Dallas, a "not so exclusive" establishment).
Please keep on topic.

This thread has been hijacked.
I recommend opening up another one in a more understated, polite tone. Perhaps, to keep the envious rabble at bay, you should include a link to one or two of the debate threads?

WOW! My 5000th Post!!!!
I'm sorry TG, but I think, coming from a moderator of the forum (let alone any member), that was a very low and unnecessary twisting of a user handle. Fair enough if you beg to differ, but being in the exemplary role you hold, I'd expect more and urge you to consider editing your name calling.
Anyways, on topic, I'm under 30. I'm not a big fan of gambling, but I can dance all night (salsa, hip hop, electronic, burn-out hippie music), do shots of tequila, down pints of beer, operate on minimal sleep... I can dress up to to lookgood(.com) and can have a good time in nearly any company.
(I am however, not good enough for Sue Bird, and I have thus cursed the Seattle Storm in having a horrible season.)
Anyways, I'd put the possibility of my attendance at this event in the low single digit percentage points. Tbe honest, I think I'd have more fun w/ either my own friends in this type of scene -OR- with "non 30 and under" FTers in a different scene.
I'll keep my eyes on the thread to see how it develops.

When I am moderating, I am very careful to not post opinion and to include a "moderator" signature at the bottom of my post. If you noticee, there I did not include my moderator signature at the bottom of that post (which was made very tongue-in-cheek) and I was exercising my right to post as a general member in this forum. If Randy wants to discipline me for it, by all means, please turn me in. This is one issue I'm more than willing to serve a time out over.
One reason I asked to be a moderator for the Community forum was that I was grateful for the opportunity to have met so many people over the past two years at FT events, many (perhaps most) whom I would never had met through more "self-selecting events". When I first came to FT, I too was naive. I dumbly assumed before my first FT event (which was the TPE run in September of 2001) that I would probably be the only (or one of the only) female(s) and certainly would be the only one under the age of 40. After all, this was a frequent flyer event, right? Well imagine my shock that no only was I NOT the only person in my 20s but that there were 4 or 5 twenty-somethings along who were YOUNGER than me. So much for the need to "self-select", eh?
And thus I feel it is a slap in the face of the Community to have someone come and post here who repeatedly (despite gentle nudging and not so gentle ribbing from the Community) persists in his efforts to exclude a large portion of that Community and do so in a quite public way.
I notice that Randy has excluded age from the TOS, but let me quote the other protected classes here:
Any posts containing communications that are knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, obscene, profane, threatening, harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive, hateful or bashing -- especially those aimed at sexual orientation, gender, race, color, religious views, national origin, or disability - will not be tolerated and will be removed. Individuals who do not abide by these rules are subject to having their FlyerTalk account permanently deleted.
And so I stand by my post.

Not THOSE establishments.
I was referring more to those overgrown college bars that still service the twenty-something gang. Why? Because the hip/trendy bars in Dallas that attract the "see and be seen" crowd on Friday or Saturday night but rely on the thirty/forty-somethings who frequent their attached restaurants/lounges on the other nights of the week to keep their doors open.
Now I know many of these bar/restauant managers (and have a close friend who does bar/restaurant PR)... and they view the Saturday night drink specials as a loss-leader because they create buzz for a club and the overall name and drive the business dollars into their restaurant.
