Duncan - I would dispute that spell checkers don't teach - I have personally experienced it! I've learned at least four thousand times that judgment has no "e" stuck in the middle there!!

Play nice - we like to assume we're all friends here, until someone forces us to recognize otherwise..

Duncan: Your posts are off-topic and do not contribute to the discussion in this thread.  Furthermore your tone is disrespectful and rude.  There are more diplomatic ways to make your point.

I hope your other two posts (thusfar) on FT are of a more pleasant tone.

What Word won't catch is what my brain does when I'm typing really fast. For instance if I intend to type "blue", my brain to fingers action is likely to insert "blew" - it says something about how you interpret thought when the gray matter is declining - I'm just not sure what!!

Who needs wands? If I can get a magic club to correct rude posts, I'll apply for the job .

Hey, mikey1003 _anyone_ can learn to spell. It just takes practice and paying attention. I used to be a horrible speller until I started my job at the newspaper. Ironic, eh?

Not to be persnickety about it but just READ. Read papers, read books, read whatever. I assure you that in time your spelling will get better as long as you pay attention to the the words you're looking at. And your punctuation will improve, too.

I'm just trying to imagine what the average spellcheck function would make of the airport codes, SWU's and random other ff terminology that gets tossed around here. Oh the horrors!@!
