may be it should be moved (to OMNI?) - but (in my opinion) not closed.

Gaucho100K my friend,
I think "sensorship" is a good thing and would mean to monitor and respond.
"Censorship" is what I think you meant.

Hmm, it talks about FT meetings and a central theme of it is how people are different at FT gatherings than on FT cyberspace.

IMO, the central theme is that Goldlust self isolated himself from OMNI and has now moved the arguement to Communities. It belongs back in OMNI as Rudi says

Wasn't there a proposal a while ago of creating a new forum in FT just for the banished threads?

I think the topic posted does belong in FT Community. The fact that it has gone off topic due to some of the subsequent posts does not mean that it wasn't posted in the right place in the first instance.
I would hope when people are emotionally charged, as some justifiably are in this instance, that they would show good sense and refrain from posting to let the thread, and their emotions, cool down.
Some people have tried to do the decent thing and diffuse the situation but others will not let it go.
If the thread must be shut down, then I say shame on all the people responsible for not being able to exhibit self-respect and control.

I'm the moderator of the forum in question and I chewed on the idea of locking or moving the thread to OMNI, but I decided not to. While I'd rather it not be in Community it is on-topic albeit marginally.
