xONEx purchase from AY?

Has anyone purchased an xONEx itinerary ticketed by AY, and have there been any problems?

One of my potential ex-ARN DONE4 itiineraries is substantially cheaper (per the online tool) if the first leg is on a AY codeshare, but I'm nervous about the ongoing "mantenance" of the ticket when the inevitable date changes, and potential itinerary changes, need to be made over the next few years.

[Perhaps I have misunderstood ---- am I correct that one always needs to go back to the ticketing airline to get date/carrier/itinerary changes made?]

Thanks in advance for your advise!

Any OW airline can re-issue the ticket, while the ticketing airline is required to do the re-issue. So other airlines do it when they want to; they are allowed to refuse and require you to have AY do it. In practice they rarely refuse unless there is something wrong with the ticket. 99% of the time there is no problem. I've had problems with AY ticketing for years, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy through them if there was a price difference.

I was told that the airline of the next flight is required to reissue the ticket. (I don't know if that's actually true, or if they didn't feel like re-issueing my ticket).

I usually make date changes with the operating carrier.

I'm about to purchase a DONE3 ex-Sweden, possibly from AY. What kind of problems have you experienced with AY ticketing process of OW RTW's?

To be specific, all my XONEX ex ARN has been on AA paper, through TAL Aviation. In all other instances, having AY tickets, I have had no problems changing, or re-booking. Very friendly service, I'd say.
