Looking at the all in costs of starting in different countries on my xONEx, I considered Jordan, which would force my Iraqi flights off the ticket because of the no-transiting the origin rule. Though I knew it wouldn't work I tried to price out an ex-Iraq trip, which validated, but failed after pressing "Book Now" with the error:

Sorry, there was an error. The booking engine could not be contacted: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I don't know if there are any places you can fly to (that appear as destinations on the tool) but not start from on an xONEx, but this would probably hold true for those as well?

Also, regarding the illegal QF codeshares of AS flights showing up, this might be fixed (sort of) in that they appeared for me but if chosen bring up:

Due to traffic restrictions on this flight you must be booked on the operating carrier. Change this segment accordingly.

FWIW, codeshare flights on AS metal are not valid for xONEx fares. SO the booking tools dhould not be bringing them up.

Yeah, I meant the error is still there in that it shows the flights when you search but it is fixed to the point that it registers an error if you actually select any of those codeshares.

Bug

OW xONEx booking engine not working again. This time it simply hung in place with this message right after validated an itin and "Book Now",

The following error(s) occured

* Our lowest fares are not available for the destination and date requested. Please return to the homepage and click on the ?search by schedule? button to find our most attractive fares. (5685 - 2201)

When try to click "BACK", nothing happens. The page deadended right here.
I was not looking for lowest fare (it was fixed anyway), simply trying to book the itin.

Separately, just noticed the total YQ for DONE3 from AMM has gone up from previously US$300 to now US$499. Anyone else see this?

oneworld.com booking engine 9015 error

Used the oneworld.com site to book a RTW ticket last night. Validated the ticket without problem, entered the credit card and personal data, but received this message:

"An error occurred during creation of your booking. Please contact your Travel Assistance Desk to check if the booking was successful and to obtain further assistance (9015)"

Can anyone tell me what this is about and what a (9015) is?
Also, who/what is my travel assistance desk and how can they be contacted?

If it helps, my origin is AKL and first flite is AA7315.

Did contact AA and eventually routed to the RTW desk who determined that no booking was made, but could not explain the error message or offer any assistance to straighten out the situation. Did offer to send a query to the Oneworld desk and asked me to call back within an hour for results. Called back, but no response had been received.

Also sent a e-mail query to the contact us listing on the oneworld.com web site. Received the standard immediate reply giving an enquiry number, but no real reply as yet.

Also contacted my credit card issuer, who indicated that a credit verification request from American had been received, but that the dollar amount was listed as zero. Indicated that a reply was sent verifying the card.

Needless to say I am at a complete loss as to what to do. Any comparable experiences or insights?

Assistance is appreciated

Rens

I keep getting an error message when trying to price an itinerary, via QF:

"An error has occured in our central database. Please contact us for further information. (4002 [0])
We are having difficulty processing your request at this time. We recommend that you wait a few minutes and try again. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Anyone else seen this

Star now with more/better tools?

I've been poking around the Star Alliance toolbox recently, and just wanted to comment on how much more efficient and versatile *A's online booking tools seem to be compared with OW's. Mind, the OWE is still the best RTW product out there IMO, but just play around with the Star tools and you'll see what I'm talking about. Not just online booking capacity for XRWSTAR products, but circle, one-continent, etc. tickets. http://www.staralliance.com/en/booking/book-and-fly/

C'mon, OW - how about having the GlobEx or Circle products added?

Yes please. I'd like to be able to book a DAS13 without having to spend an hour explaining to a travel agent what it is.

I can no longer find DAR-JNB flights from about September onwards. I spoke to BA and they said the service is suspended/not operating in one or two months out of the next 12 but I've searched a large number of random dates well into 2012 and nothing.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

Himeno Jul 19, 2011 2:59 am

I am currently getting the following error when I try to book through the tool

The following error(s) occured

* The fare for the flights you have selected is no longer available.
Please contact American Airlines Reservations, the first carrier in
your Round-the-World itinerary, for assistance with making a new
booking.
oneworld and American Airlines apologises for any inconvenience this
may have caused. (15012)
Have tried twice now. Anyone else getting this?

Trip is a DONE3 ICN-NRT-DFW-ANC-DFW-ATL-ORD-SFO-JFK-AMM-MAD-LHR-DXB-LHR-SIN-HND-GMP, but no errors until I try to move to the last step in the booking process.

I made one booking successfully while I was in Canada, however, a week after leaving Canada I kept getting the same error as you even using the exact same itinerary that I had booked earlier. I wonder if they're looking at your source IP address.

Anyway, I ended up calling AA and booked it by pretending to be in Canada.

I just checked the booking classes for the flights through expertflyer. Almost ever sector is showing 7 or 9 in the required booking class other then one D3 and one D1.

I'm trying again through a KR proxy. - no effect.

Just as a data point for you Himeno, I pulled up an ex-KRT DONE4 itinerary I had saved and went through the motions with it - got as far as the 'enter credit card details' screen without any error messages.

(and I am located in PER, provided an Australian phone number and an email address that was not country-specific)

That's as far as I get. It's when trying to go to the next screen where I get the error.

I get to the 'purchase' step just fine (where you enter cc details). When I click the 'confirm trip' button to go to the reservation screen, it gives the error.

Himeno Jul 24, 2011 2:53 am

Just tried the same booking on another computer. Build it from scratch instead of using the saved itinerary.
I got to the same point (clicking on 'confirm trip' to go to last part of booking process) and got a different error message.
