I don't think domestic sub-1,000 mile flights would be a good use of a segment. Actually 2 segments since you would have to go back to HND.

Perhaps not, but these routes could be extremely useful for those earning status in programs such as Qantas Frequent Flyer, where short F or J sectors can be good earners, depending on cost.

HND-ITM is 249 miles. You better REALLY need some points to use that on a AONE.

One final caution to keep this thread on-topic. Please refer to FT's Guidelines and Rules, specifically the sections regarding disciplinary actions.

Can folks help me find the best F flights if I want to go to these cities?

BOS-HKG-NRT-PEK-PNH-HTY-BOS

I want to keep BOS-HKG bc I can take CX via JFK. But the rest I'm not so picky about. Suggestions?

Not much intra-Asia F. HKGTPE and HKG-HND are your best (only?) options.

tennisboy Sep 28, 2013 7:18 pm

Thinking of booking traditional AA F Award rather than a RTW Award given that we're only going to a handful of cities over 3 weeks.

So something like JFK-HKG-JFK-(stopover at a later date)-YVR OR JFK-HKG, NRT-BOS-(somewhere else in North America)

Since we're just visiting REP,NRT, PEK, and HTY this might make more sense. Could get cheap inter-asia flights etc.

What do people think?

easterisland Oct 1, 2013 1:54 pm

BA, LHR-MRU F long gone, now a 3 class out of LGW.

BA, LHR-GIG F is back.

Ouch! Mixing LHR and LGW on an xONEx ticket is a painful waste of two segments.

Against their interest, OW is making xONEx more interesting to business travelers (who save big bucks over point-to-point premium travel and have no use for 16 segments) than holiday travelers (who are probably buying 'up' to a premium cabin).

Should update to add Qatar Airways first class routes to the list.

DOH-CDG
DOH-LHR (not all flights)

I think that's it for now but I may be wrong.

Yes, that's it.

Do QR run it on their SIN-DPS or PNH-SGN tags?

They also have F on at least some of their short-haul routes in the Middle East.

cheers,

3-class F? All the F I have seen is 2-class, which is now included on a DONEx.

As far as I know, there is no F on JJ flights from GIG to either JFK or MIA; there is no JJ flight from GIG to LHR. The only oneworld flight with F that I can think of is BA to LHR. Maybe during the World Cup ....

I don't see any as far out as I can search either using ITA matrix.

No international First Class on US Airways.

No First on BA LHR-EZE-LHR.

CX to fly HKG-ZRH in S15:

AlwaysOnTheRoad May 20, 2014 11:04 am

TAM (JJ) dropping First from all routes. Can't book any longer. Will be completely retired by 1 November.

Unless something changed recently, they still sell First on flights before November. I've booked JFK-GRU in First after the announcement.

Dr. HFH May 21, 2014 12:38 am

No CX F HKG/YYZ. Was phased out a year or more ago, IIRC. I used to take it a lot because F award space availability was above average on this route.

christep Jun 24, 2014 9:12 am

AA now flies F HKG-DFW

For CX only some 777-300ER have F. HKG-LHR is F on some flights only. Very few routes have F on all flights now.

Kiwi Flyer Jun 25, 2014 2:18 am

Thanks for the updates. OP is updated to here.

moa999 Jun 26, 2014 11:42 pm

Presumably we should add

SYD-DFW (from 29 Sep)

And QF still have two 747s with F (albeit going quickly) - just OEB, OJM with F, and OJA/ OJI the non-refurbs with old J. The F planes seem to be mostly doing Joburg and Tokyo flights (though not sold as such)

Does anyone know if CX F HKG-FCO still exists?

I know that it has been a while since an update to the original list, but it does need cleaning up.

I checked some of CX and AA routes, and there is no F on CX to Jakarta, Jo'berg, Singapore, & Tokyo (NRT). The F flights to Bangkok, Seoul, Osaka are very irregular. I believe that AA is dropping all of the seasonal F service from DFW/MIA to MAD and using the revamped 77D configuration. And now that all of the TCON A321 are in service, all of the JFK-SFO flights have F. AA dropped the JFK-TYO flight as well.

One can also remove all of the TAM info since they dropped 1st class. There may be other changes.

Calchas Jan 9, 2015 12:11 pm

BA will do LHR-KUL with F from May. BA 33/34.

Does anyone know if there is any first cabin on the route HND-CTS with JL ? I couldn't find any :(

armagebedar Mar 25, 2015 8:07 am

There are plenty of F seats available on HND-CTS -- just not on every flight. Try searching on JL's website for the dates you're interested in.

Yes but only on some rotations

First Class into Bangkok via Asia?

Any First Class going into BKK from other Asia connections?

I am looking USA-Asia Connection-BKK

I think the answer is no.

Actually, Cathay flies First Class on a limited set of flights from HKG-BKK and HKG-SIN. Look for the 77W and 744. If you book it in advance you'll want to keep an eye on the aircraft as I've seen it change many times in the past.

Thanks. I have been flying a lot of HKG-BKK in the last 16 months and have not been on a single flight that has first.

But, I believe you are right.... there is one flight a day with Prem. Economy, which I am guessing is the 77W.
