I doubt whether this is true. 737s cannot take off from LCY AFAIK.

I would be extremely surprised if BA does not endeavor to route you to KFE on another airline.

If ticketed, BA have a contract to get you there and back.

To me it seems strange the message AA left you gave no options ... perhaps the AAgent who called wasn't really interested.

Yes we have paper tickets with specific days of travel LGW KEF LGW. Logic does seem that it should be the airlines problem.

But I have ran in to issues with special rules for DONEs before.

It seems like BA should endorse the ticket over to iceland air.

Thoughts?

I know AA once endorsed some DONE tickets to NWA.

But that was at the airport because the AA flight had just been cancelled. This is happening in 6 months.

The listed BA policies don't contemplate a 20 segment flight.

Do you think I should call AA first (how will they send this req to BA for an iceland air ticket via OneWorld) or call BA (for a 'simple' endorsement).

Who will have the most power to satisfy elite members?

If it was me, I would begin with my Elite Status Customer Service (AA or BA) and work from there. Even though in this day and age it seems Elite Status has less and less value (On Some Airlines) they still need their loyal customers. So I would try there first and then work from there. Good-Luck and wish you success!!

Well yes, but clearly, cannot dismiss this until you give it a try, right?

Flights to KEF utilises 733s. Flights to/from LCY uses RJs. How does that work?

Precisely what I was wondering in post #16 below I doubt this is the case, as 737s cannot take off from LCY!

Reshuffling. It doesn't mean the 733s go directly to LCY. They go to someplace that could use them to replace RJs which in turn can go to LCY. (Airplane moves between routes are rarely as simple as take a plane from this route and put the exact same plane on the exact same utilisation schedule on that route.)

Just because BA says its not responsible for something in its "Contract" of Carriage, does not mean that that is a legally enforceable provision on their part. It's a contract of adhesion, which are always looked upon with skepticism by courts. Don't not fight because of what this document says.

I think it's unlikely that a court is going to find the contract to be unconscionable or a contract of adhesion, and "reform" it so that it states what the OP believes is "fair" (whatever that means). I think it's even less likely that such a judgment would be sustained on appeal. That doesn't mean the OP shouldn't argue his case to the airlines and anyone else who will listen, but I would be really surprised if anyone thinks it's a good idea for the OP actually to sue BA. What if he loses and BA countersues for its attorneys' fees? I'm not saying the OP should capitulate or hoist the white flag quite yet, but he shouldn't look for a remedy in the courts.
