TG has their new 346 a/c which is supposed to have much better product. I haven't tried it since the change from MD11s and the old 744s. I really should try it before TG raises fares to the levels of other airlines.
If you are wanting OW all the way then often when I've checked BA is cheaper than QF ex-NZ.

Here's another bad news:
Kerbside check-in has been suspended,

You need to go to zone D instead though, it seems that Fast Track lane (security check, for your departures) in terminal-3 is still remain.
