JL already has A/D inventory -- they sell the GE product, it is only the OWE product which they don't currently participate in. If your question is whether JL will increase the amount of A inventory after joining OW, my guess is absolutely not. Meaning A on JL will be hard to come by. This is part of JL's business model, and isn't likely to change just by joining OW.

Is A hidden from KVS or not available on some routes? I wasn't able to find it - am I missing something?

JL makes little A available on prime routes like NRT-LHR; it may be as little as 1 A seat per week, so not on every flight and not on every day of the week. They don't want to sell A, they sell F or let the seat fly empty instead, on these routes. No idea if the KVS inventory is accurate, but my past experience with JL is that you won't find many A seats on prime routes, try NRT-SYD or NRT-LAX instead on KVS, there should be A there. If no route ever shows A, then KVS isn't picking up the JL inventory. Also try to find a flight that isn't F0!!!

Yeah for some reason ExpertFlyer and KVS aren't picking up any A inventory - odd.

I found this: JL Global Explorer Fare Rules.

Therefore I believe that JAL will keep it's own booking class for Global Explorer/OW Explorer F/J/D/B/Y) while the other carriers use A/D/L.

wow - if it books into F it should be quite easy to find AONE availability. Even the B booking class for economy is a great value compared to L.
