I will say I have yet to visit the QF F lounge in SYD. But food wise I found the JL lounge curry to be very good in quality and I also liked the three soup options. I find the quality and flavor of the food in the CX lounge to be a bit eh.. for lack of a better word. I do like that the CX lounge has Hagen Daz ice cream where the JL lounge was lacking in sweets/ dessert.

Honestly, I think the CX lounges look a bit tired. But the Library in the Wing really is one of my favorite quite corners as far as airline lounges of the world go.

Now I'm curious, what whiskey is on offer at the CX Wing/Pier? I find it somewhat intimidating when it's not out for self serve and (as far as I know) there's no list and you can't see the bottles anywhere at the bar - how do you know what they have?

And yes, I agree, JL NRT F lounge is king:

I usually go for the 21yr Suntory Hibiki. The 17yr Yamakazi is not bad, and don't forget the 20yr Canadian Club and 12yr IW Harper bourbon - hard to find elsewhere.

JW Gold as a blended whiskey and Glenmorangie as a malt.
