Hello FTers,

ah.. ah.... I don't like being ignorant and I hope I speak for many others.... and I want to understand.....

Exactly what do this chart do? What do the columns mean and the all the numbers?

Thank you for answering. I really do want to understand.

David

Read the sticky threads, David, especially the one regarding fares. Different prices for variations on the product, point of sale, etc.

Hi David. The sticky will surely help, but the tables in this post are light on labels.

The three tables posted as seperate replies to this same thread list the prices, by country, for the First Class (AONEx), Business Class (DONEx) and Economy Class (LONEx) OneWorld RTW Explorer products. The unlabelled columns are for when "x" in the above equals 3, 4, 5 or 6 - i.e. 3 continents, 4 continents, etc.

As you can see, price varies a lot by where you purchase (and start) your RTW trip, and some countries can be relatively cheap in one class, while expensive in others (e.g. the UK, where the LONEx is cheap, but the premium class products are very expensive).

Hi,

Is the price from Mauritius still 6150 USD for the AONE4 ?

Does BA122 Mauritius-LHR have First Class ?

Best regards,
Sebastian

Can't comment on the price, but the flight is operated by a 744 (so it has F).

Hello Jerry,

Thank you very much for giving me the quick explanation. Now it makes sense.

Thank you again.

David

Exchange rates have also been updated.

I'd rather believe AA's fare info on their CRS... there is no Slovenia or Syria for that matter... so the fare does not really exist.

Update: Yes there is a fare from Syria. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showp...21&postcount=7

So the upshot of the foregoing is that WearyBizTrvlr's spreadsheet is inaccurate in some respects? If so, is there any prospect of it being updated, or where else can we find RTW fare comparisons?

Unfortunately, yes. The info in the spreadsheet is just a consolidation of the data that I get from FlyerTalk and other sources. I do not have access to the airlines' CRS, so I am entirely dependent on info here or the info that people send me; in some cases, people with access to the CRS have sent me datadumps, but this is incidental. Since Qantas password protected their site, it's gotten harder finding xONEx info.

In other words, the spreadsheet info is done on a best-effort basis, but is likely to be outdated or incorrect in some instances. So anyone with more accurate or up-to-date info, please email or PM me.

Parenthetically, I'll be releasing a minor update later today.

I am still thankful for all your effort, Mr. WearyBizTrvlr!

We all owe WBT similar thanks.

While I know on the board we have talked about Syria originations and haven't been able to do develop much information about originations from Syria, why do you believe that there is no oneworld fare available from there? BMED does fly from Damascus (and Aleppo) to LHR.

Oh, and my thanks to WBT also.

WearyBizTrvlr Jan 13, 2006 2:10 pm

Thanks for the kind words. :)

I've just posted a minor update, with new fare levels for a number of *A origins, as well as an update of fx rates.

Perhaps bad news ex-CAI

The Qantas Industry site which used to have the xONEx fares is now password protected, but some pages are still publicly accessible . Clicking around I found this:

(Emphasis added.)

Something tells me that it will not be a fare reduction.

And not unexpected. :(
