RTW Fare Update
The new oneworld desktop timetable contains a RTW function complete with all fares. I've updated my RTW fare spreadsheet with the data culled from this file. As this is coming from oneworld, I would assume these fares are correct. The fares for Slovenia look too good to be true though... I feel a weekend in Ljubljana coming up!
Exchange rates have also been updated. |
AONEx fares in USD

DONEx in USD
Code:
Slovenia 3,109 3,730 3,733 4,933 |

Are you missing a zero for LONEx - Latvia?

It was a fun thought while it lasted. |

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the prices listed above are amounts prior to Nov. 2005. Prices went up at the beginning of November or there about. An example of current fares from North America are an AONE4 at $10,400, DONE4 at $8300, and LONE4 at $4100.
|
Note to mention as well that there are no OW flights to Djibouti since the BA/Regional Air fiasco early this year. Somehow, I don't put much faith in what's on the OW web site. If they can't have correct information about one of their main products, can you trust anything else on the site.

However, at least there are updated prices for some of the more obscure origins. |

I am not aware of any current rescource available that does not require gross expenditure. (Like becoming one own TA.) :(

Hello FTers,
ah.. ah.... I don't like being ignorant and I hope I speak for many others.... and I want to understand..... Exactly what do this chart do? What do the columns mean and the all the numbers? Thank you for answering. I really do want to understand. David |
Read the sticky threads, David, especially the one regarding fares. Different prices for variations on the product, point of sale, etc.
|
Hi David. The sticky will surely help, but the tables in this post are light on labels.
The three tables posted as seperate replies to this same thread list the prices, by country, for the First Class (AONEx), Business Class (DONEx) and Economy Class (LONEx) OneWorld RTW Explorer products. The unlabelled columns are for when "x" in the above equals 3, 4, 5 or 6 - i.e. 3 continents, 4 continents, etc. As you can see, price varies a lot by where you purchase (and start) your RTW trip, and some countries can be relatively cheap in one class, while expensive in others (e.g. the UK, where the LONEx is cheap, but the premium class products are very expensive). |
Hi,
Is the price from Mauritius still 6150 USD for the AONE4 ? Does BA122 Mauritius-LHR have First Class ? Best regards, Sebastian |
Can't comment on the price, but the flight is operated by a 744 (so it has F).
|
Hello Jerry,
Thank you very much for giving me the quick explanation. Now it makes sense. Thank you again. David |

Exchange rates have also been updated. Update: Yes there is a fare from Syria. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showp...21&postcount=7 |
So the upshot of the foregoing is that WearyBizTrvlr's spreadsheet is inaccurate in some respects? If so, is there any prospect of it being updated, or where else can we find RTW fare comparisons?

In other words, the spreadsheet info is done on a best-effort basis, but is likely to be outdated or incorrect in some instances. So anyone with more accurate or up-to-date info, please email or PM me. Parenthetically, I'll be releasing a minor update later today. |
I am still thankful for all your effort, Mr. WearyBizTrvlr!

Oh, and my thanks to WBT also. |
Thanks for the kind words. :)
I've just posted a minor update, with new fare levels for a number of *A origins, as well as an update of fx rates. |
Perhaps bad news ex-CAI
The Qantas Industry site which used to have the xONEx fares is now password protected, but some pages are still publicly accessible . Clicking around I found this:

Noting for the Aussies that Pakistation has moved up with Sri Lanka at the cheaper end of the DONE fares A$6800 DONE4 and A$7800 DONE5
Cathay flies into Karachi from Bangkok. Appears that Malaysian airlines has some pretty cheap deals ex-Syd through KL to Karachi. Anyone thought of this as a different option to Colombo ticketing?? |

Oh, and my thanks to WBT also. BA also flies to TIP. And it doesn't mean that once BA flies from TIP that a Oneworld fare has to exist from Libya either. |

My DONE4s ex BKK have brought a string of SSSSs. Got'a love the LOTFAP.
|
Nonsense, had Pakistan stamps in my passport last time I went back to the US and had no major issues with immigration or TSA. Got SSSS once (out of a half-dozen domestic segments), but that was when I bought a one way at the airport on the same day. I agree that it doesn't seem to matter where you bought the ticket (or where you have been) as much as how you bought the ticket and what kind of ticket it is.
