WAW vs CAI

Its hard to get all the information out of this forum with the search function not operating, so I thought I would pose the following question to those of you in the know.

About to book a DONEx and originally intended to book ex CAI. From reading a few posts on this forum recently I suspect that ex WAW with Tal Aviation may in fact be cheaper.

Is there anyone out there that can confirm the current prices of DONEx fares from Tal Avation (seems we should avoid BA in WAW) vs Ms Sohbi's BA office in CAI?

If the WAW price does seem better, could someone provide me with the name of a suitable representative in WAW as it also seems many the Tal Aviation staff are 'difficult' to deal with.

Thanking you all in advance.

I am currently working with the same dilemma WAW vs. CAI, I have seen few recent prices ex-WAW for DONE4 being 5.000 USD + taxes and I am just waiting a reply from WAW regarding my routing. The biggest problem I have, like many others here, that I want them to issue the ticket, charge my cc and then send the tickets by a courier service. What is still open question to me is that can they issue the ticket, book first 2 flights and keep the ticket there for collection if the sending is out of question. And also how much in advance can they do this...

If you read the threads that I posted links to in your other thread and that jerry a. laska has again provided links to your questions will be answered. In summary:-

(1) BA and AY are quoting a totally different price from AA. The price in the sticky at the top of the main forum page are still reasonably accurate. Although they are in GBP a bit of playing around with conversion rates will get the USD price.

(2) I had the AA RTW desk set-up my itinerary. I emailed and telephoned Tal who were able to issue the ticket. They billed my UK CC but would not post the tickets. I had to either (a) travel to WAW and collect the ticket any day Monday to Friday (they are closed weekends) or (b) arrnage for a courier to collect the tickets for me. I choose option (b). I arranged with FedEx to collect the tickets and deliver them to me in the UK. It cost around GBP50.

(3) If you keep the ticket to 16 segments or below Tal can issue it as an e-ticket.

(4) My ticket was issued with 3 segments booked and the remaining 17 left open. I have a handwritten paper ticket.

Tal are AA's GSA so if you want to use AA you will have to use Tal. Only other alternative is to try to find a TA in Poland that would use AA to price the ticket.

Tal are not the most responsive company but they did get there in the end. If you are against a tight deadline I would suggest getting AA RTW desk to set-up the booking and then phoning Tal. They speak english to a good standard.
