If you're crediting to AAdvantage (guessing from your profile) you'll regret it when you see your earnings. That would be the same as booking an AA code on a RTW, and earnings are dismal.

If that's not important then I don't have the answer as I personally won't use an FJ code on a RTW since they joined AAdvantage. The good thing is that on their Asia-Fiji routes there are better codes available on all of them. I don't know if that's the case from Fiji to North America.

I would say the Fiji lounge is mid, but their location in the middle of the Pacific along the great circle routes between North America and Oceania makes them a great option for not detouring too far while travelling between the two.

Any updates on booking FJ? Started looking at this for my next RTW. Got stuck on timing. Thinking Spring/Early Summer in Europe, Summer/Fall in US then Winter for Fiji/Aus?

Anyone have a routing/timing that they prefer? An event that they try to work in? Thanks.

FJ joined OW 31 March 2025 -- https://www.oneworld.com/news/2025-0...lobal-alliance
If by RTW if you mean the OW *ONE* are listed Rule 3015

QF lounge at AKL

I booked a weekend getaway to AKL from LAX, via FJ. The OW lounge finder only shows the NZ lounge (CX only), and the Strata Lounge for several other OW airlines. FJ isn't mentioned for either, so I assumed I would have to use a PP visit at Strata. Upon check-in (OWS in Y), I was informed I would have access to Strata. When I headed up to Strata, I was quite shocked to see a very nice QF lounge just across from Strata. Needless to say, I went with the QF lounge, which is pretty great. They even have a dining section available (invite only and not for me as a lowly OWS in Y).

Hopefully, OW will update their directory soon. FJ has always been very competitive on TPAC fares to Oceania, so it is good to finally get full OW recognition.

Did you ask at AKL FJ checkin about lounge access options?
FJ web site https://www.fijiairways.com/en-us/ex...artner-lounges
Fiji Airways Business Class guests and members of oneworld airline frequent flyer programs and with the equivalent of oneworld Emerald or Sapphire tier status can use lounges offered by oneworld airlines when departing on any flight marketed and operated by any oneworld member airline, regardless of cabin class. Access to oneworld member lounges varies by location and can be found here.
