BKK AA office
I would like to commend the staff at the AA BKK office for their diligence and professionalism in issuing our RTW tickets. They were extremely capable and resolved some problems that had crept into our itineraries. With such a resource there is no particular need for a BKK travel agent. Now we can just hope that AA springs for a new ticket printer for them and gives them the courtesy of employee numbers so that we can commend them by giving SOS's.

Might I ask how you arranged this? I am having trouble finding a Travel Agent in BKK that will talk to me by email and want to arrange my RTW for 2003.
Thanks in advance.

I arranged my itinerary through the U.S. AA RTW desk which is also generally wonderful. I had them clear the itinerary with the rate desk within the week before going to BKK. I had also called the office in BKK to let them know when I would be coming in and they were ready for me when I showed up.

The AA people in BKK are officially employed by CATHAY PACIFIC. So are the ones in HKG. The SIN staff are employed by QF.
These AA offices are "GSAs" and are not directly employees of AA.
If you want to write letters, write to their correct airline employers.

This week returned from BKK-HKG-LAX. Deleted a stopover in HKG on an AA award CX ticket. CX could not do anything and referred me to the AA office, where I had to go to get reticketed. So off to Ploenchit Tower on Sumkumvit Rd to the AA offices adjacent to the CX office.
Both were extremely efficient and helpful in getting the job done on the phone and face to face. Amer Airlines was expecially EASY to deal with from the initial contacts regarding the CX award trip ticket. I wish that were true of the other airlines, where I have a million miles to get awards for!
Anyway, it was a pleasent experience and delightful trip.
