AA EXP What to do with CX M Fare

I will be doing a RTW in coach and will be flying NRT - HKG - SIN(stopover) - HKG on CX.

Being a new EXP with AA, I am trying to figure out what to do with those miles. I would prefer to have them on AA, but I read that AA doesnt accept M class on CX.

What do others do in this situation? I have FF accounts with BA and Qantas. Anyone have any suggestions?

Or maybe I can see if I can upgrade the flights out of M at the airport.

You can not earn BA miles for flights on CX in M class. QF will allow you to earn 100% miles in their programme for CX flights in M class though.

Has anyone been able to change the class of service on a RTW ticket in Economy by paying.

Just in the off chance that my flight in economy is oversold, would rather have them show that I am AA ExP then a reg Qantas member. Or does it not matter on CX.

you can have it all in AA#, keep your BP/tkt, and ask QF to re-instate the mile after you completed the trip

Sorry... no can do.

CX "M" class fares can only be upgraded with ASIAMILES or SWISS Travel Club Miles.

After much soul searching, I figured I would just change my SIN - HKG RT from CX to QF. That just leaves NRT - SIN in M.

Next time I will just fly SEA - YVR -> RTW in business class and be done with it.
