Tomorrow's segment of LONE4...disappeared

Hi, hoping someone can point me in the right direction :-)

I am due to fly the next segment of a LONE4 tomorrow, ticketed by Royal Jordanian.

The flight was originally scheduled for the 27th, but pushed it back via phone with their London office. That was a few days ago. I noticed yesterday that the flight had disappeared on both checkmytrip and ba (my ff club).

Could not get through in London anymore because of the bank holiday, so tried the Jordan number. Eventually after some passing around and long periods on hold, the flight was showing up again. Except the guy said to call back in the morning "to check it was validated" because it "didn't match up". Wasn't sure exactly what that meant, also due to a bit of a language barrier.

Today I've done that, different person who didn't seem to know how the ticket works, but eventually said it was sorted and an email would follow. Started showing up again.

But, no email, and now the flight has since disappeared again. :-/

Presumably something has gone wrong somewhere with the date change...

So far it is proving an absolute nightmare to contact RJ. The London office barely picks up, and the Jordan call centre is a merry-go-round trying to get someone who is a bit more aware of the explorer ticket, without putting on hold for ten mins each time. Right now I can't get through to anyone on either (closed for the day??):

Jordan: +962 6 5100000
London: +44 20 7878 6300

Any guesses what they might have done on their end/24 hour number would be great to try and resolve this!

Thanks :-)

For BA look here A tool for finding which BA offices are currently open

But as your post was ~ 12 hours ago what happened?

Just as an data point: I had segments of an AONE with other airlines missing on the BA website - but still showing at the operating airlines website. Can you try to find the RJ reservation number (not sure what system they use) and check on their web site?

Thanks for the replies guys. Basically I ended up landing in KUL with the plan to go straight to the Royal Jordanian desk/office and sort it out. Of course, it was closed!

Ended up going to the airport information desk, standing up for two hours on and off on the phone with the Kuala Lumpur town office of RJ. Thankfully, found a really great guy there, Kevin. Honestly the first person I've been able to speak to from RJ who knew this ticket, even joked with him about it! He said most of the staff don't know how it works because it's the kind of ticket they see "seldom, maybe once in a lifetime". Explains why normally I'd give the ticket number and they wouldn't know what to do with it, put on hold for 10 mins and then look it up fine

Anyway long story short after about an hour Kevin was able to fix everything up again. What had happened was my original date change hadn't been done properly, and still showed 27th May (which I'd obviously missed). Strange that it was showing up on BAs app as 31st before it vanished, so I guess there are two different systems and they only knew to change one?

I don't blame RJ staff because naturally they are not used to it, but something to bare in mind if you book this ticket through them :-) BA were always helpful but twice said they couldn't make changes because they weren't the ticketing airline, is this correct?

In case it's useful to someone, the number of the KUL office is: +60 2148 7500. Ask for Kevin! :-D

No, sadly this is untrue. Any oneworld airline can reissue another oneworld airline's ticket as if it were there own. There are exceptions, but oneworld fare products should be picked up by any member airline.

If the original ticketing airline made a mistake of some kind, it's often necessary to get them to sort it however.

This is true in theory but just because they can does not mean they will. Further many find it is easier to say they can't rather than explain why they won't.

Date change (which I think was referred to) or a reissue (the one costing USD125)? I have struggled in asking QF to do a simple QF flight date change on a BA issued xONEx - sometimes they will do it, sometimes outright refusal.
