AA confirms LAX-AKL starting June 2016

AA will use 787s on the new route.

QF reducing SYD-LAX (phasing out afternoon 747 departure); SYD-DFW reportedly adding Tuesday to regular schedule (not just for northern winter).

Does this count as a new route?

The soon to commence AA flights LAX-SYD-LAX have add-ons to and from LAS in both directions with same flight number but change of aircraft in LAX.

If LAS-SYD can be ticketed as a single coupon it might prove useful on RTWs allowing an extra segment elsewhere.

For that matter, AA64 was MIA-ZRH (via JFK). That changed from MIA to DFW 3 weeks ago.

AA64 was DFW-JFK-ZRH at least since Feb.

I went back and looked at some old timetables, and it was DFW through about June, then MIA. You could be right that its seasonal at least for 2015.
