Now if only the "One" in OneWorld meant something. Just being able to see each other's bookings and seat assignments would be a breakthrough.

December still have many days...So anything can happen in the coming 44 days.

However I know TAM will be a oneworld member airline in the end. When is the question. Assume they need to exit in a manner without a penalty imposed. How they could go around this issue? Regulator concern is not the excuse they can use, as the reality is that TACA Avianca's Brazil arm is not in Star yet, thus the regulator order would not enforce unless the TACA Brazil joins Star.

Would be interest to see how TAM is going to exit star and how long it would take TAM to be in oneworld officially.

AVIANCA in Brazil is controlled by Synergy Group, the same company that controls Columbia's AVIANCA, but the two not even have the same loyalty (mileage) program.

I could see that changing once TAM formally announces it's departure from Star.

It won't be an immediate switch over, but sooner or later, I think it'll happen.

My question is will LATAM align their products and remove F from TAM's planes. Or will they use the planes with F for specific routes from/between the main hubs and send Y/J planes on other routes.
