However I know TAM will be a oneworld member airline in the end. When is the question. Assume they need to exit in a manner without a penalty imposed. How they could go around this issue? Regulator concern is not the excuse they can use, as the reality is that TACA Avianca's Brazil arm is not in Star yet, thus the regulator order would not enforce unless the TACA Brazil joins Star.
Would be interest to see how TAM is going to exit star and how long it would take TAM to be in oneworld officially.
