Is there going to be a new one? I know *A is having one, but OW? (I know TBIT is going through construction, but don't think OW has announced to have a new lounge yet).

It was announced by LAX a while ago. There will be 4 lounges in TBIT, one for each alliance + EK with some space set aside for additional lounges later. The oneworld lounge is being designed by QF.

And if you look at that map the 'coming soon' oneworld lounge takes up part new space, part the current lounge, and part the current star lounge.
I thus suspect the LAX oneworld lounge is going to be a work in progress for some time. Why?
1. Whilst the new building in being commissioned both oneworld and star alliance can build their new lounges/ new part of lounge.
2. Star moves to new lounge and closes old lounge. oneworld opens new part of lounge (with a hole thru wall to old lounge).
3. oneworld begins renovating old star lounge to new format and properly connect with the new area
4. oneworld closes the part of the lounge that is the current area, then starts renovating that.
Hence I very much doubt we will see a fully completed lounge until into 2014.

Note that first portion of the development, the new Gate 134 (in the new terminal) is due to open in the first week of September with a temporary connection to the current TBIT
Entire Phase 1 West and Great Hall (where the lounges are) is listed as an early 2013 opening, so you should at least see something "new"

To put this another way, *O will remain on the 5th Floor and absorb the current *A lounge area as well expanding somewhat.
In general, there is significant space being made available for the new lounges at TBIT.
The new *A lounge will be on the 6th floor 'above' and West of the (new) *O lounge area and have at least twice the space than the current 5th Floor TBIT *A lounge.
FWIW, AirNZ have announced are planning to move operations to TBIT in "early 2014":
New LAX terminal for Air New Zealand will deliver better passenger experience

That new lounge was a very painful process, with temporary lounge in a hangar for a year (and costing the airlines about $15 million just for the temporary lounge!). Too bad that the rebuild plan wasn't a bit more far-sighted but LAX was still planning on demolishing T1-2-3 at the time instead of expanding TBIT further.

What's "*O?" "*A" is a common abbreviation for Star Alliance, but I can't think of what "Star O---" might be. A merged Star/Oneworld? Something about an orange? Something organic?

New timeline posted on LAWA website - http://www.lawa.org/uploadedFiles/LA...r%20Insert.pdf
Gate 134 is now open and mostly used for arrivals. Some photos around the web.
Gate 132 and 130 now scheduled for Dec 2012
Central Core and North Gates for May 2013
So I would imagine the new Star lounge and first stage of new oneworld lounge will open May 2013.
