Sapphire question

Quicky question re Cathay Gold / OW Sapphire.

I understand that a guest can be taken into a lounge ..... But can the same accompanying guest also join me at business checkin and priority boarding? I can' t see this specifically mentioned anywhere. Don't like suprises or confrontations .....

Thanks.

We've never had a problem, even when not on the same PNR

Though, being the polite person I am, I always ask at the check-in/gate if it's alright for the Mrs to get the Sapphire treatment with me - the response has always been a slightly surprised 'but of course!'

This is the type of thing where, within reason, CX or other OW airlines will not send your friends/colleagues away. If you were to bring 1 or 2 guests with you to J checkin, there is no problem and I'm sure most Sapphire members will have done this, even on a different PNR.

Bringing in 10 guests on the other hand, would likely result in being politely told that your guests are welcome to use the Y checkin instead.

Where the line is drawn, nobody knows for sure... but I'm sure the staff have some guidelines somewhere.

It will be no problem, I've done this many times (I am a OW Sapphire member) even when the other person is booked on a different PNR number.
