Distance?

I'm working out the distance for a mileage limited oneworld ticket. MileageMonkey and Great Circle Mapper are saying different things?

SYD-NRT-ngo-NRT-sin-per-MEL-cbr
MM says 13003 miles
GCM says 12987 mi
ticket limit is 13000. Which is more correct?

Call QFF and ask. The FFP is the arbitrator not some internet website.

If they use IATA TPM (International Air Transport Association Ticketing Point Mileage). You can check it out on JAL website

Interesting...JAL's tool says 12,971!

I got
4,863 for SYD-TYO
1,670 for PER-MEL
309 for MEL-CBR

The rest are the same

In terms of giving points, QFF is SIN-NRT at 3,334
(query if using city codes rather than airport codes makes a difference?)

QFF has its own mileage figures. The only definitive answer is by calling them.

Correct. They consider MIA-ORD to be more than 1200 miles even so many tools show them to be below the threshold.

Are you sure that the OP wants to use miles for the booking rather than purchasing , say, a 13k Circle Asia and South West Pacific ticket? If it is the latter there are other purchasing locations other than QF and JL's tool of 12,971 would seem that could be purchased from JL or even purchase via the AA ATW desk ( as I have arranged for the Asia tickets for some friends )
