Anyone had any experience getting to New Zealand on a NW related carrier. I will probably have a business class ticket paid for, but would like to get all those miles!

Remember that MH miles don't count toward status. Right now there's no way to get status miles to OZ or NZ.

CO has a twice weekly flight GUM-Cairns (CNS) in far north Queensland... that should be good for status (mind I'd hate to think what the fare would be like!).
