I can never get my codes accepted unless I have clicked through from another link.

Antique aircraft listed :-)
At the bottom of this page, http://www.nwa.com/services/bustrav/wbc/#fleet it shows some antique aircraft that belong in a museum:
* New World Business Class is available on intercontinental flights using Northwest 747-400 or Airbus A330 aircraft or KLM 777 or Airbus A330 aircraft. Classic World Business Class will continue to be offered on intercontinental flights using Northwest 747-200 or DC-10 aircraft or KLM 747-400, 767 or MD-11 aircraft. Information subject to change. |

Try closing, restarting your browser, clearing your cache and nwa.com cookies, trying a different browser, etc. |
I think there are some 'bugs' depending what type of brower are use such as Netscape, Safari, Firefox, Opera, MS/IE and others. The same goes with what operating system anyone is using such as Windows or Mac.
Because I have had (small) problems with NWA.com when using AOL.com, and the same with Earthlink when using either a Windows or a MAc. I think it will be good to mention when reporting the bug what web-brower and operating system is being use. It might be helpful for the NW IT staff. -BondAir |
It works now......I tried 3 or 4 times today

All,
I have just returned from 6 weeks on the road (blah blah blah - haven't many of us). I have updated the master thread with all of the issues posted for the month of May. nwa scoop - I am more than happy to meet with someone at NW to go over these issues if that's necessary. Also, if you wouldn't mind letting me or the forum know when bugs from the master thread have been addressed, that would be great. This way the user community can test them and I can mark them as fixed on the master thread. To everyone else - please continue to post your bugs/issues/wishlist!!! Thanks, RM |
87,500 Miles for DOMESTIC Coach Award??
I thought the most it would cost for a domestic economy tix would be 50000 for PerkPass (Rule Bust)??

It's simple. BZN-MSP is 37500 for PerkSaver and PerkPass and MSP-SNA is 50000 for PerkPass. These two are combined and you get 87500. NWA has trouble there to price this correctly and they need to fix it. This is something for TTU.
Oh, and I just found plenty of these between MEM and HNL for 9/15 and 9/22... |
Handicap Seats are sometimes unblocked on nwa.com
I was checking my seat assignment for a flight on Sunday morning June 11th. On NW5820 DTW/CMH seats 1A/1B AND 2A/2B were open Sunday afternoon June 3rd and could be assigned even though they were handicap designated. Now, when I checked the seat map on nwa.com midnight June 4th the seats are locked and cannot be reserved through nwa.com
There has been an ongoing inconsistancy with unlocked and locked handicap seats for the nwa.com seat selection. I have noticed this inconsistency for the last 9 months. RC |

87,500 Miles Therefore, the award travel search is pulling up 87,500 because you are using two tickets to get from Bozeman to SNA. Not sure what NWA will tell you if you call. BTW...NWA will not sell you a ticket in the BZN-SNA market (at least through nwa.com). RadioCycle - the handicap "bug" is actually quite nice if you know how to work the system and get it to work in your favor. -RM |
NW/KL nwa.com Online Support Form:
Title: Mr First Name: Jano Last Name: xxx Reply-To Email Address: xxx Alternate Email Address: WorldPerks Number:xxx Email Address:[email protected] ======== Message: Dear Sir/Madam I was pricing the first class NWA award ticket from TYS to HNL and back outbound on Sep 15 and inbound on Sep 22. I got an itinerary that priced at 125,000 miles per person. I do believe there is a mistake since TYS-HNL in the first class should be 75,000 miles. This was the result of my search. Saturday, September 15, 2007 Northwest Airlines 5881 Booking Class: Y / Economy Saturday, September 15, 2007 Northwest Airlines 345 Booking Class: A / First Class Saturday, September 15, 2007 Northwest Airlines 221 Booking Class: A / First Class Saturday, September 22, 2007 Northwest Airlines 222 Booking Class: A / First Class Sunday, September 23, 2007 Northwest Airlines 340 Booking Class: A / First Class Sunday, September 23, 2007 Northwest Airlines 5874 Booking Class: Y / Economy for 1 Passenger Mileage Per Person: 125,000 Taxes/Fees Per Person: $10.00 It seems there are being combined PerkPass TYS-DTW in coach class for 50,000 miles and PerkSaver DTW-HNL in the first class for 75,000 miles. I do believe I should be offered this itinerary for 75,000 miles only since there are plenty of seats booked into W class between TYS and DTW on the above dates and most importantly the required mileage for the first class travel between TYS and HNL is 75,000 miles per http://www.nwa.com/worldperks/direct...s/hawaii.shtml . Could you forward this email to the appropriate department at NWA so that this error in pricing of the first class award tickets was fixed? Thank you Sincerely Jano =================response (KMM11888160V10753L0KM) Dear Jano Thank you for contacting nwa.com Customer Service. Flight numbers 345, 221, 222, 340 and 5874 are pricing in Perkpass first class which is 150,000 miles. Award Charts are available online to determine the amount of WorldPerks miles necessary for a free ticket or an upgrade. To view an award chart: * Click on the "WorldPerks" tab on the top right corner of our homepage at www.nwa.com * Select "Redeem Miles" * Click on "Award Charts" * On the map, select the region you are departing from. I trust the information provided will help you resolve your inquiries concerning pricing with Northwest Airlines. Thank you for choosing Northwest Airlines. We value your patronage and consider it a privilege to serve your travel needs. Sincerely, XXX nwa.com Customer Service ==============my comment I do believe NWA reply is wrong. Between DTW and HNL those seats are A seats which is PerkSaver First class. There is no first class service between TYS and DTW. So I need to search for W class. There is plenty of W class seats between DTW and TYS on those dates (I run a separate search for TYS-DTW). So, there are A seats DTW-HNL and back and W seats TYS-DTW and that should be PerkSaver at 75,000 miles. |

more upgrade weirdness
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the following has been done:
One way ticket (BKK-SFO), select Business Class & Mileage Upgrade from Full Fares. If search by price, only flights with availability come up. If search by schedule, all sorts of combinations/possibilities come up, but clicking on anything that doesn't come up in search by price leads you back to the original search screen with the msg: "We're sorry, there was a problem processing this search request." Not quite a web bug, but thought I'd mention it, when I repeatedly called the phone reservation desk, the agents were not able to see the same availability that I could. In this case, they did not see upgrade availability on a BKK-NRT-SEA-SFO routing, whereas nwa.com did, and happily sold me the ticket. |
