Your flight departing for NRT to BKK does not leave until the next day. If you take this schedule, you would need to find lodging for the night.
I KNOW....I CORRECTED MYSELF A FEW POSTS LATER.
BTW: Arrival in BKK would be +1 from SFO, only problem is it's not listed in the schedule you provide. Here is a breakdown of NW 27 from Today if this helps you:
Departs: San Francisco-Int'l, CA (SFO) - August 1st
Arrives: Tokyo-Narita, Japan (NRT) -> Arrive August 2nd
Aircraft: A330-200
Departs: Tokyo-Narita, Japan (NRT) - August 2nd
Arrives: Bangkok, Thailand ( BKK ) - August 2nd
Aircraft: A330-200
Hope this helps. It's not an error, but it's an overnight at SFO and you depart SFO the next day as noted with the departure date. It's not disclosing the arrival date, but if you go to the next page on nwa.com, it will disclose it.

I went to nwa.com myself, while I could not get the exact connection to pull up you have listed, I found a similar one via MSP to SFO connecting to the same flight.
I don't see where the problem is, unless you're looking at something else. You arrive into SFO on Sunday night via DTW (or MSP with what I pulled up). SFO-BKK, NW 27, departs the next day, Monday, out of SFO, arrives NRT on Tuesday, and you arrive into BKK Tuesday evening.
The first screen may be a bit amigious as to "arrival" date, but to me the schedule seems clear (other than being a bad routing with an overnight in SFO).
You best bet is to depart on the 21st and take this routing, which is available at standard pricing (W class). You depart Monday and arrive into BKK on Tuesday -- same time & flight (into BKK) as if you departed Sunday via SFO:
Northwest Airlines 1405 - Mon, Nov 21
6:10am Depart Washington (IAD)
7:52am Arrive Detroit (DTW)
Fare Basis Code: WSTD
Cabin: Economy
Award Level: Standard
Change Planes
Northwest Airlines 25 - Mon, Nov 21
1:45pm Depart Detroit (DTW)
5:10pm Arrive Tokyo (NRT) (note: arrives next day)
Fare Basis Code: WSTD
Cabin: Economy
Award Level: Standard
change planes
Northwest Airlines 27 - Tue, Nov 22
6:40pm Depart Tokyo (NRT)
11:50pm Arrive Bangkok (BKK)
Fare Basis Code: WSTD
Cabin: Economy
Award Level: Standard
If you want to book something to BKK, this schedule is available as a standard award (WSTD). You can go to nwa.com and book it, unless availability changes between now and then. You would arrive Tuesday the 22nd and you would not have to overnight at SFO or at any airport.
If you want to go the day before, you can always book something such as this and waitlist for the day prior. You may also call NWA and inquire about other routings w/SkyTeam partners (i.e. I believe Korean operates IAD-ICN, you may be able to find an IAD-ICN-BKK, as an example).
Best,

Actually, I wasn't yelling at all. I use caps sometimes to distinguish my response from the rest of the post--makes it easier to read. (But yes, many people still think caps means yelling...you can think that if you want).
Thanks for your effort in trying to get me a flight, but I have/had no trouble booking one that I want...there are plenty that I can choose from which arrive at day+1. I was merely pointing out the many incorrectly printed itineraries on the website which do not show the correct arrival date.
