In all honesty upgrades from DTW to west coast stations are sometimes difficult even for Platinums... genuinely difficult for Silvers. I would not expect to be able to get into F ahead of WP elites without paying for it somehow...

And ditto for me on the UG opportunities at the gate. There will be plenty of Plats in the back, so a non Platinum will have slim chances for an upgrade.
