Lunch at DTW
A Google search on FT yielded nothing on this. I have 90 minutes between landing from PVD and taking off for NRT around lunchtime tomorrow and was wondering if anyone could suggest a decent place to grab some cheap food. I also want to take some onto the plane as well since I'm in Y and hate coach food.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Rio Wraps is the best terminal food, and makes a great carry-on box.
There is also a Chili's around the midpoint of the terminal if you want to sit down, but it's not very good. As you have only 45 minutes or so until NRT starts boarding I would go for Rio Wraps.

Bear friend:
Are you recovering from CO? Still fly that airline after 50% EQM and severely reduced number of 737 FC seats for EUA?

They even have a sushi bar that you can sit and watch them prepare your plate. I do believe they have take out as well if you can spare a few more minutes, but it is well worth the wait.
Enjoy

I ate at the new sushi place (near gates in the low 30s, iirc; can't search for thread) and while I'm not a huge fan of sushi, it was still tasty. And fresh, which is the important thing with sushi. It was really fresh. Nice and open front of the resturant; if you sit with your back to the windows overlooking the tarmac, you can watch people as they go between gates on the concorse. Full sushi rolls (about 6 large pieces) run on average from $10-13, IIRC. They also had a fair selection of Japanese cuisine, non-sushi items , but as I was recommended to go there for sushi, that's what I did.

It's not a great to-go offering, but my first choice is Pizza Papalis. It's great Chicago-style pizza - minis ready - around gate 56 if memory serves.

"Is there a Chili's or Chili's Too at DTW?"
Yes, take a left at the fountain if you are heading into the airport (or towards the lower numbered gates).
