It's more like climbing up to the cliff after 2 years. As long as the health care can cope, there is no reason to continue with this collective suicide.

Only the boosted will survive !

There has been less collective suicide in Denmark during this pandemic than in Sweden. And now there is an increasingly popular sentiment in both countries: "let the healthy and vaccinated no longer be hostage to the rest".

As an unboosted person who had COVID at least twice, I appreciate being reminded that I'm dead. Heaven is nice, you can still post on Flyertalk!

Do you have to wear a mask up there?

We can only hope.

I am happy to notice her symptoms are mild and that she has disclosed the times of her shots.

“Dronningen er vaccineret mod coronavirus tre gange. Første stik fik hun 1. januar 2021, mens hun i slutningen af november bekræftede, at hun havde fået tredje stik.”

Referencing the Danish Health Authority, this article writes that

The agency said it was looking at “winding down the entire general vaccination program later in the spring.”
“We will of course follow the epidemic closely, and we are ready to change our decision if, contrary to expectations, there is a fourth spring wave or new worrying variants this spring,” the agency statement said.

A very high percentage of the population has been vaccinated with at least two doses; and the Covid-19 load on the Danish ICU beds is pretty level even as in-patient Covid-19 visits are up. But there is a shift that goes beyond those factors, and that shift has the country moving on anyway.

Denmark's State Serum Institute has been playing the PR game with a foreign audience in mind this month. They've turbo-boosted their use of English in media communications as a result of people like this https://twitter.com/DrEricDing having concerns and criticisms about Denmark's "reopening".

the810 Feb 16, 2022 3:00 am

It's funny to see Denmark in the same PR situation as Sweden was throughout the pandemic. That being said, all these panic-inducing "experts" becoming agitated is a good sign. They know their regime is about to fall apart across the continent - I believe that in a way, governments are using omicron as an excuse how to get out of this damaging and unsustainable strategy, without having to admit that they were wrong when they introduced and maintained unprecedented restrictions on people's lifes.

Scheitan Feb 16, 2022 5:01 am

Let's hope they use that way out

GUWonder Feb 16, 2022 5:35 am

Denmark is still a long way off from ending up with as bad a Covid-19 outcome as Sweden. Denmark now provides a basis for showing how surrendering to the "let it rip" Darwinists still has costs even at this point in the pandemic. It's not a surprise that Denmark gets recognized for what it has done, what it is doing, and what the change has meant. But then the Darwinists and the rally around the Danebrogg crowd strike back because it's an inconvenient truth for "those foreigners" to highlight numbers that challenge the narrative of "reopening at all costs"? The PR campaign switched from Danish to English. That just speaks to what "triggered" them.

Part of the consequence of living in a civilized society with a functioning state is that there are restrictions, including those restrictions that some or many may not like. Nothing truly unprecedented has taken place in Denmark during this pandemic. History and paying attention to the world provides perspective.

I read that article, and basically Denmark just started acting more like the US, and their infection rate went up (but nothing like what we experienced). So, I’m not sure what the warning was. They still have more restrictions than large swaths of the US.
